The Commercial Hotel's location as the focal point for the local community in the beautiful Grampian Highlands combines perfectly with providing an excellent base for visitors and tourists. The village was founded centuries ago and in the surrounding fields and glens there are the remains of several Celtic communities. The history is rich and visible from the Tomnaverie Stone Circle and the Culsh Earth House to the modern landscape lovingly tended by generations of farmers and gamekeepers.
